For my inspiration for this 2x4 project I looked at the stain glass of Frank Lloyd Wright, The juxtaposition of geometrical shapes was very nice and used to create a dynamic feel. The lines on the side are for aesthetic and functional purposes- the longer line was used to set the depth of the cylinder, and the shorter line was added to help strengthen the visual power of the lines.
