I was browsing some other blogs today and I came across a blog by Tommy Kane. I really liked his artwork as well as his comedic nature which shines through in his posts. I like a good deal of his work because the lines are so precise and clean- like it all has a purpose.

Notice how Tommy doesn't use any hairy dog lines... Draw with purpose!

Hi Zach, It's good to know there are other students who have little experience in drawing. The good news is that I feel as if I am learning something new with every drawing even if they are awful. Be sure to look for one or two things you like in all your work--it's important to acknowledge all the good stuff (okay I'll stop being in teacher/parent mode now!). I like TK too. Have you looked at his professional work? It's really different from his sketches.
Take it easy!
